Dorothy R. (Lecardo) Betti

Obituary
Dorothy Rose Betti, 90, a longtime resident of Quail Run Estates, Agawam, MA. passed away on November 14, 2022. She was born August 30,1932 to the late Angelo and Loretta (Kiley) LeCardo. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1950 and worked for a time at the Metropolitan Insurance Company. She married Louis F. Betti in 1957 and they enjoyed 49 wonderful years together.

Above all else Dorothy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was well known by family and friends for her generous hospitality. Dorothy had an “open door” policy where “everyone” was welcome! She was equally well known for her famous homemade meatballs!

She was predeceased by her husband Louis F. Betti Jr. in 2006. Dorothy was also predeceased by her brothers Frank and John LeCardo. She leaves her loving children; Louis F. Betti lll and his wife Heidi of East Longmeadow, Steven T. Betti and his wife Diane of Wells, Maine, and Linda A. Williams and her husband John of Westfield, her cherished grandchildren; Melissa, Michael, Joel, Kara, Julia, Lauren and Catherine, her beloved great grandchildren; Paisley, Hadley, Elijah, Cam’ron and Neeko.

Calling hours will be held Monday Nov. 21 from 4-7 at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield. A liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Nov. 22 10 AM at St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St. West Springfield. Her burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
