Edmund A. Walsh

West Springfield- Edmund A. Walsh, age 79, passed away on July 5, 2014 at the Holyoke Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family. Edmund was born on January 27, 1935 to the late Edmund Sr. and Geneva (Shean) Walsh. He was a communicant of St Thomas Church. An Army Veteran, Edmund graduated from Cathedral High School and attended Western New England College. He worked for 30 years at Mass Mutual Insurance Company, most recently as an Associate Director of Conventions and Marketing.�He also served as a past president of the West Springfield Kiwanis Club.�An avid fan of the Patriots and Red Sox, Edmund enjoyed traveling, reading, and photography. He leaves his loving wife Lucille (Drapeau) Walsh of West Springfield; October would have marked their 50th wedding anniversary. He also leaves one son, Edmund J. Walsh of West Springfield, and one daughter, Maureen Walsh of Watertown. The funeral will be held�on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 9:00 AM�at�the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home,�1043 Westfield St., West Springfield�followed by a Mass of Christian Burial�at 10:00 AM�in St Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be�on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 4-7 PM�at the funeral home.
