Obituary
Edward “Eddie” Kucharzyk, 91, passed away November 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicopee, June 10, 1930, the son of the late John and Angie (Zuchowicz) Kucharzyk. Eddie was a Marine Corps veteran serving in the Korean War, the recipient of two purple hearts. He then volunteered for a six month peace-keeping mission for NATO where he served in thirteen different countries in Europe. He worked for Moore Drop Forge for many years retiring from the Riverdale Tool and Die Co. He was a communicant of St Thomas Church, loved the beach and was an avid golfer. His beloved wife, Norma (Urbinati) died in 1996. He leaves his loving daughters, Joanne (Michael) LaChance of Merriden, CT, Lori (Ron) Hamann of Chicopee, Karen (Michael) Jefferson of Agawam and Judy (Kevin) Anderson of Springfield, his loving grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Lea, Eric, Steven and Emily and his loving great granddaughter, Emelia. He also leaves a special friend Pat Mcdonnell and his wife Lynne. He was predeceased by his sisters Dottie Besko and Barbara Shayda. A Funeral Home service will be held Monday November 29, 2021 at 11:30AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery.
