Edward J Cook

Edward J Cook, 72, passed away February 23, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in West Springfield, December 2, 1952, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose (Marotte) Cook. He was a graduate of West Springfield High School class of 1971. Ed worked as a prop master for local 53 at the Springfield Symphony Hall for many years and previously at the former Buxton Co. and the former Jahn Foundry. He was a talented guitarist. He leaves his beloved daughter, Commander Wendy Cook of Del Mar, CA, his beloved sister, Donna of West Springfield and his godmother, Dorothy Preston. He was predeceased by his sister Beverly in 1993. A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 5 at 11AM at St Thomas Cemetery. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
