Edward W Garvulenski, Jr, 84, passed away peacefully Friday July 17, 2015, with his daughter by his side at the Holyoke Soldiers� Home. Born in Agawam, October 31, 1930 to the late Edward W. and Mary (Niznik) Garvulenski, Sr. Ed attended West Springfield High School and was a US Navy Veteran during the Korean War serving on aircraft carriers. He worked for Hamilton Standard in CT for several years before taking a position at the VA Hospital in Leeds as a Vocational Rehabilitation Therapist until his retirement. Ed enjoyed spending his spare time fixing lawnmowers and other small machinery. He leaves a son, Edward J. �Casey� Garvulenski of Grand Marsh, WI, a daughter, Donna Luciani of Easthampton, a grandson, Anthony Luciani of Agawam, a sister, Mary Elizabeth Gourinski of Enfield, CT as well as several nieces, nephews, their families and many friends. Ed was predeceased by his sister, Carol Girard, brothers-in-law, Lawrence Girard and Edward Gourinski and daughter-in-law, Theresa Garvulenski. The family would like to thank everyone who helped with Ed�s care since he was ill. All services are at the convenience of the family at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the Holyoke Soldiers Home or the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield.
