Obituary
Eileen (Dickson) Lenahan, 101, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at Mont Marie Health Care Center. Born in Childs, PA, December 1, 1918, the daughter of Patrick and Anna (O’Neill) Dickson. The widow of John A. Lenahan who died in 1975 she has lived in West Springfield since 1947. Eileen retired as a Home Economics teacher at the West Springfield High School. She was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Carbondale, PA and Marywood College in Scranton, PA. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church, a member of the American Legion Aux., and a volunteer with Hospice, Visiting Nurses Assn. of the Pioneer Valley. She leaves her beloved children, Michael J. of West Springfield, Timothy J. of Auburn, NH, Patricia Wojtowicz of Belchertown, and Rosemary Ramanauskas of Red Bank, NJ, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Thursday, 9:30 - 11:00 AM from the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM from St. Thomas Church with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 20 Batterson Park Rd., Farmington, CT 06032.
