Elaine P Smith

Elaine P (Paro) Smith, 92, passed away April 30, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Agawam, October 30, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Avila and Lillian (Peruse) Paro. Her beloved husband of 67 years, Milton Smith died in 2017. She leaves her beloved children, Robert Smith and his wife Judy of Melbourne, FL, Diane Rys of Ludlow, Nancy Barlow of Agawam and Gary Smith and his wife Sandra of East Granby, CT, her beloved siblings, June Caravaggi of Agawam and Ronald Paro of Southwick, 7 beloved grandchildren and 9 beloved great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Alan. The funeral will be held Thursday May 8, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St Thomas Church with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery. A calling hour will be Thursday 10-11AM at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the TJ O’Connor Animal Shelter 627 Cottage St Springfield, MA 01104.
