Obituary
Elaine Gloria Bisson (Valente), age 74, passed away on September 15, 2021, unexpectedly at Baystate Medical Center. Elaine was born on June 19, 1947, in Hartford, Connecticut to her parents, Frank and Shirley Valente. She graduated from Enfield High School in Enfield, Connecticut in 1965. Elaine worked primarily in the legal field as a paralegal, including MassMutual Insurance Company. Elaine is survived by her son Kevin Bisson of East Greenbush, NY, his wife Stephanie and their children Anthony and Evelyn; as well as her son Chuck (“Charlie”) Bisson, Jr. of Chicopee, MA, his wife Donna and their children Giovanna and Luca. Elaine had three sisters. She was predeceased by her sister Sandra Rolie (children: Wayne, Jacey, Angela, Jason, Jenelle), and survived by Fran Lowell and husband Tom (children: Tommy, Cyndi and Tim), and Bonnie Hall (children: Carissa and Crystal). She also had many great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved. All who knew Elaine had nothing but kind words to say about her. She will be especially remembered for her loving, generous spirit, and how she was always the first to lend a helping hand. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and a contagious giggle we will not soon forget. We will miss seeing her beautiful blue eyes and warm smile, and will forever cherish the memories we have made with her. What brought Elaine the greatest joy was spending time with her four grandchildren; weekend sleepovers, Scrabble competitions, and movie marathons. The grandchildren loved their “Grammy” so very much and will miss her dearly. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, between 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, MA 01089.
