Obituary
Eleanor A. (Fortini) Di Giore, 87, passed away Sun Oct. 13, 2019. She was born June 4, 1932 to the late Joseph and Theresa Fortini. A lifelong resident of West Springfield, she was a graduate of West Springfield High School in 1950. She worked for over 27 years at Westfield Bank and 22 years at Hallmark. She was a loving wife; mother and grandmother, her family meant everything to her. Eleanor enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas Church. Eleanor leaves her loving husband Anthony “Tony” DiGiore with whom she shared her 60th anniversary on Oct. 12th. She also leaves her son Douglas DiGiore of Tustin, CA., her daughter Diane Shea of Enfield, CT., her granddaughter Sara Shea of San Francisco, CA and grandson Andrew Shea of Hermosa Beach, CA., along with several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her brothers Edmond and George Fortini and sister Alice Lamagna. Calling Hours will be held WEDS at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., from 9 to 10:30 AM. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Ronald McDonald House, Western New England Children’s Center, 34 Chapin Terrace, Spfld, MA 01107 or to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St., Suite 450, Newton, MA 02158
