Obituary
Eleanor F. (Wiggins) Versailles, 75, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield on April 12, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Henry Bennett and Maddie Cox. Eleanor worked for the Springfield School System for many years and was a member of the Tatham Social Club playing in their pitch league. She loved butterflies, cleaning, reading and spending time with her family. Her first husband, Robert B. Wiggins died in 2002. She leaves her loving husband, Michael Versailles, her beloved children, Laura Wiggins of W. Spfld, Diane Sweeney and her husband James of Southwick, Joseph C. Wiggins of Ludlow, Robert M. Wiggins and his fiancé Melissa of W. Spfld, Jeremy Wiggins of W. Spfld and Joseph M. Wiggins of Bristol, CT, her sister, Penny Valliere of Springfield, her cherished grandchildren, Brandon and Samantha, her beloved great grandchildren, Aubrianna and Avaleigh Sofia, her niece, Jenny and her favorite cat Buttercup. The family would like to thank Dr. Farooqui and his entire staff along with the entire staff of the Sister Caritas Cancer Center for their kindness and support, and especially thank Paula and Haitianna for their outstanding care. All services are private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Donations may be made to Baystate Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01103.
