Emily T. (Pirog) Kulha

West Springfield - Emily T. (Pirog) Kulha, 91, passed away October 30, 2014 in Agawam. She was born in Chicopee, March 26, 1923 to the late Andrew and Agnes (Prbyzysz) Pirog, and lived most of her life in West Springfield. She loved reading, gardening, travel and playing games. She was avid about fitness and health, swimming, walking, and exercising most of her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John G. Kulha in 2004 and by her son, James Kulha in 2001. She leaves her loving children Diane Kulha of Bristol, RI, Denise Picard and husband Robert of Ventura, CA, and Jason Kulha of Oceanside, CA. She also leaves many loving family members, brother, Walter Pirog, Sr. of Holyoke, sister, Alice Gracewski of Enfield, a nephew, five nieces, and their families. The funeral will be Wednesday 9AM at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld., followed by a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street. The burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assn.
