Ernest J. Bovat

Agawam -Ernest J. Bovat, 85, passed away Monday February 23, 2015. Born in West Springfield, August 25, 1929, he lived most of his life in Agawam. He owned and operated the Fairview Fence Company for over 43 years. Ernest was a US Army vet during the Korean War and was a member of the Chicopee Elks Club and was an avid Yankees, Patriots and Bruins fan. His beloved wife of 57 years, Alice (Mahoney) Bovat died in 2008. He leaves his sons, Ronald and his wife Joanne of Westfield, Brian and his partner Kimberly Murphy of Agawam and Donald and his partner Norma Mackey of Montague, his grandchildren, Jennifer, Rebecca, Laura and Lynn and his great grandchildren Diane-Marie and Alexandrea. A committal service will be held Monday at 1pm at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
