Eula E. (Levere) Shaw

Parrottsville, TN - Eula E. Shaw, 96, formerly of West Springfield, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. She was born in Westfield to the late Sarah (Cardinal) and Napoleon Levere. Eula worked for the City of Westfield and then for the former Westfield State College until her retirement in 1979. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. Eula was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles D. Shaw in 1962. She was the loving mother of David Shaw of Agawam and Sara Kenney and her husband David of Parrottsville, TN, adoring grandmother to Lisa Frazer, Michael Shaw, Amy Shaw, Jessica Kenney and Sean Kenney, great-grandmother to, Amber McCabe, Ethan & Jack Shaw, Zoe & Payton Frazer and Brooke & Taylor Kenney and many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her step children, Wallace Shaw, Charles (Dudley) Shaw and Jean Airhart. She was the last of her siblings, Blanche Hatch, Edna Levere, Sadie Peck, Rita Picchi and Shirley Kuniey, Joseph, Harold, Edward and Ramond Levere to pass away. The funeral will be Monday 9:00 am at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chalice of Salvation, 65 Elliot Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
