Obituary
Evelyn (Maziarz) Krupa, 84, died peacefully with her family by her side on June 22. Evelyn was born in Chicopee, MA on March 14, 1936 to the late Mitchell and Wanda (Kaczor) Maziarz. She was a long-time resident of West Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School. She worked as a clerk for the Federal Court System in Springfield and Boston for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and making quilts for Veterans’ and children in hospitals with the Quilt Bank of Bayberry Quilters. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Thaddeus “Ted” Krupa in 2009. She leaves her beloved sons Robert and his wife Lori of Leominster and James of Conway and her two grandsons, Benjamin and Nicholas. The funeral mass will be Thursday, June 25 at 10am at the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield with burial to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Quilt Bank of Bayberry Quilters c/o Grace Filliman, 26 Pleasant Park Circle, Harwich, MA 02645 or to a charity of one’s choice.
