F. Joyce (Schroeder) Svadeba

Obituary
Frances Joyce (Schroeder) Svadeba, passed away peacefully from a brave battle with cancer surrounded

by her loving family. A resident of Windsor, Ct., for nearly 50 years, she spent the last month of her life

with her children in Feeding Hills, Ma. Known all her life as Joyce, and affectionately as Grammy Joyce,

she was the quintessential mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She loved her faith and family

traditions, passing them along to the next generation of loved ones. She will always be remembered for

having a gentle and kind heart that only saw the good in everyone. She will be loved and missed by all.

Joyce was born on August 8, 1932 to Joseph and Maria Schroeder and grew up in a large and loving

family in Scranton, PA. She was married to the love of her life Joseph Svadeba for 37 years, before he

passed away. Joyce was also predeceased by her parents as well as her brother Joseph Schroeder, Jr., and

sister Barbara Bailey. She leaves behind her devoted children Joseph D. Svadeba, Jr, John and Suzanne

Svadeba, and Joyce and Thomas Tedone, her beloved grandchildren Joyce Tedone, Marie and Michael

Szenda, Christopher and Jessica Tedone, Suzanne and Nicholas Beaudette, Thomas and Tricia Tedone,

Jacqueline and Paul Eshleman, and Anna Svadeba and her treasured great grandchildren, Ella, Eli, Reese,

Gavin, Audrey, Claira, Georgiana and Natalie, as well as her sisters Marie Coleman and Beverly

Lewandowski, along with numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Thursday February 25, 2021.

Joyce was always thinking of others and requested that flowers not be sent in her memory, instead

memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice
