West Springfield - Florence �Jeanne� (Thorman) D�Alise, 92, of Pine Street passed away peacefully Friday at home with her family by her side. She was born on April 26th, 1924 in Mt. Vernon, NY to the late Nelson and Marion (White) Thorman. She grew up and was educated in Mt. Vernon and settled in West Springfield in 1944. She worked at Sears and Roebuck in the catalogue and clerical departments. Prior to that she worked as a proofreader at various local printing companies. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending times with her family up at York Beach in Maine. She was the beloved widow of Pascal �Ralph� D�Alise who passed away in 2003, loving mother of Ralph D�Alise of West Springfield, Laura Ottley and her husband Bill of York Beach, ME, and Marian Quagliesi of West Springfield, caring sister of Doris Atkinson of East Longmeadow and Betty Shaw of Springfield, devoted grandmother of Andrea Miller and her husband Kris of NY, Jenny McCormick and her husband Chris of Agawam, and Anthony Quagliesi of West Spfld., and cherished great grandmother of Torrie and Tony Torres. The Funeral Service will be 1 PM Thursday at the Grace Lutheran Church, 1552 Westfield Street, West Springfield followed by a burial at Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills. Calling hours precede the church service on Thursday from 11 AM � 12:30 PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld., prior to the Funeral Service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in Jeanne�s memory may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church at the address above.
