Francis “Frank” Charles Pollard, 73, of Oxford Place passed away Tuesday at home. He was born in Springfield on July 11, 1950 to the late Mary (Marotte) and Frank Pollard. He spent most of his life in West Springfield and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. He worked in the radio field, first as a DJ at WHCN and later worked as a DJ and then Station Manager at WAQY. He started his own business, Ross the Boss McDonald DJ. He later worked at 6 Flags in Agawam. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in West Springfield. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother Kevin Pollard. He leaves his brother Mark Pollard and his wife Linda of Wilbraham and John Pollard and his wife Vivian of Chicopee, his aunt Dorothy Preston of West Springfield, his two nephews, Richard and Brian Henault, and he also leaves several cousins. There will be a Graveside Service Tuesday at 12 Noon at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Heart Assn., 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
