Gale Theresa (Demers) Sheridan

Gale Theresa (Demers) Sheridan, 82 of West Springfield passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Holyoke, MA on April 29th 1935 and was raised in Springfield. She has lived in West Springfield since 1961. Along with her husband Donald she was co-owner of Sheridan Trucking in West Springfield. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce in 1953 and she received a BA in Accounting at the American International College. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. Gale loved traveling, cruises and taking long drives in the car with her husband Don. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time in her Florida home. She was predeceased by her parents Lionel and Stella (Gusky) Demers and her cherished grandson Nathan Foley (2011). She was the loving wife of 59 years of Donald, cherished mother of Dawn Slinsky and her husband Mark of Feeding Hills, Lisa O�Brien and her husband Daniel of West Springfield and Lori Foley and her husband William also of West Springfield, devoted grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 3. The funeral will be Saturday 9am at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. Burial at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4pm � 7pm at the funeral home.
