Gary “Chip” R. Spaulding, 67, passed away peacefully on Dec 1, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1954 to the late Wayne and Janet (Nolan) Spaulding. Chip was a graduate of Smith Vocational, Class of 1972. He was the owner of Chips Auto Repair and was lucky enough to take an early retirement. Chip had an incredible sense of humor and spread happiness and laughter to all who knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating and waterskiing. You could find Chip most summer days on the river with his “CT River Family”. He leaves his best friend and life partner Judy Pashko and her daughter of Carly, his children; Kris (Bonnie) Spaulding of Easthampton, Kelly Spaulding of Northampton, Lucy (fiancé Dan) Spaulding of Peru and Ricky (Alicia) Spaulding of Huntington, his grandchildren; Shelby, Cierra, Sarah, Reed, Cole and soon to arrive Melina and step granddaughter Lylah. Chip also leaves his brothers Craig (Dale) Spaulding of SC, Mickey (Robin) Spaulding of Easthampton, his sister Debbie (Paul) Goulet also of Easthampton, his ex-wives Linda Spaulding and Marylou Spaulding, along with many loving nieces and nephews and countless friends, including his cuddle buddy Pumpkin. Per Chip’s request, there are no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Chip’s name to the charity of your choice. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
