Gavin Gray

Hampden - Gavin E. Gray of Hampden passed away Tuesday February 20, 2024. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale on May 2, 1986. He grew up and lived most of his life in Hampden Ma. He graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School and later received a B.S. in Marketing from UMass Boston. Gavin enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, the beach, baseball, hockey, spending time with his brothers and loving his pets. He was an avid weather watcher anticipating the next big snowstorm. Most recently he worked as a groomer for The Pawspaw in Springfield. Prior to that he worked as a home caregiver for seniors. Gavin will forever be known and loved for his big heart and will be dearly missed by everyone. He leaves his beloved parents, Betsy (Plotts) Gray of Hampden and Jerry Gray and his wife Laurie (Stepmom) of Enfield, loving brothers; Derek Gray, Camron Gray, and Dylan Gray with his partner Nora Trotman and their daughter Azella. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, uncles, aunts and beloved friends. There will be a Celebration of Gavin’s Life Sunday March 3rd from 1 pm – 5 pm at the Springfield Elks Lodge #61, 440 Tiffany Street, Springfield. Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations in Gavin’s name may be made to Dakin Humane Society PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101.
