Obituary
Gertrude E. DeRaleau, 98, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born on December 16, 1922 to the late Florence (Mesik) Glover and Stanley Springsted. Gertrude worked for many years at the former Bank of New England in a variety of customer service roles. She enjoyed residing at Glen Meadow Retirement Community for the past 25 years. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband Roger L. DeRaleau. She leaves her son Steven DeRaleau and his wife Janet of Lake Forest, IL, her grandchildren Lauren, Ian and Brett; and great grandchildren Ainslie, Nora and Lily along with several nieces. Gertrude was also predeceased by her sister Vivian Young. A graveside service will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
