Obituary
Gordon J. MacDonald, 50, passed away suddenly March 22, 2018. Born in Westfield, he was the son of Beverly (Barber) MacDonald of West Springfield and the late Kenneth MacDonald who died in 2009. Gordon was a graduate of Westfield Vocational High School and he owned and operated Gord’s Garage in Westfield for many years. Besides his mother he leaves his beloved siblings, Wayne of Westfield, Kenneth of S. Hadley and Joanne of West Springfield. He was predeceased by brothers, Bruce in 1961 and George in 2001. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St, West Springfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield. A calling hour will be from 9:30-10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Judes Research Hospital, the American Red Cross or to a charity of one’s choice.
