Agawam- Grace Arline (Mahler) Lyne, 92, passed away Friday at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Dallas, PA to the late Annie (Longerberger) and Rev. Andrew Mahler. Grace retired from Titeflex after many years of service. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for years and the First Baptist Church in West Springfield. Her Christian faith was an important part of herlife. An active church goer all of her life, Grace began every day reading her devotional. Grace was a terrific athlete and sports were a big part of her entire life. In high school she set scoring records for the women�s basketball team that stood for decades. She also played softball and in her later years, excelled in bowling. Grace was an avid Red Sox fan and knew every statistic and kept accurate box scores. She also faithfully followed the New England Patriots and Penn State football. Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband, Royal Lyne, Dec. 9, 1987. She leaves her loving children, Robert Lyne and his wife Lucyann of W. Spfld., David Lyne and his wife Maureen of Feeding Hils and Sandra Wezowicz and her husband Richard of Somers, CT. She loved being Nana to her seven grandchildren, David, William, Andrew, Matthew, Mark, Diane and Richard, as well as her nineteen great-grandchildren. One of twelve children, she is survived by her brother, Charles of Dallas, PA and Betty Kishbaugh of Berwick, PA. There will be a Memorial Service for Grace, Saturday, 11AM at the First Baptist Church, Piper Road, W. Spfld. The burial will be in the spring at Paucatuck Cemetery.
