Obituary
Gregory W. Benoit, 45, passed away Tuesday Oct 20, 2020 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born Nov. 11, 1974 to David and Patricia (Morrisseau) Benoit. Greg was a graduate of Agawam High School, Class of 1992 and from Westfield State, Class of 1996. He worked for several years as a Phys Ed. Teacher at West Springfield Middle School. A baseball card collector and sports memorabilia, he was an avid Red Sox and Washington Redskins fan. Greg enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, fishing with his father and grandfather and getting together with family and friends. Besides his parents, he leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his best friend Mike Bryant. Calling Hours will be held Friday from 9 to 10:30 at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W.SPFLD followed by a 11 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W.Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Greg’s name to the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Donations Department, 116 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115
