Obituary
Gregory P Marcotte, 69, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Burlington, VT, son of the late Gerald W Jr and Shirley (Boynton) Marcotte. Greg was an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War serving in Korea. He worked for over 20 years for the Springfield Water Department retiring in 2015. Greg served in the Army National Guard for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His wife, Mary A. (Naberezny) died in 2015. He leaves his children, Jason of Ware, MA and Andrea Voight and her husband J.D. of Northport, ME. The oldest of 9 children, Greg leaves his siblings, Amy Albano of West Springfield, Daniel of Olympia, WA, Thomas of South Hamilton, MA, Laurel Wallace of Westfield, MA, Melanie Feinberg of Wells, ME, Michael of Granville, MA, James of Westfield, MA, his beloved grandson, Christopher and was predeceased by his brother, Christopher. A funeral home service will be held Thursday July 19, at 1pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with burial to follow in the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are Thursday 11am-1pm.
