West Springfield -Henriette �Trudy� Beck Watson, a longtime resident of West Springfield, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2015. The daughter of Ernest and Gertrude Beck, she was born in Westport, CT on November 19, 1921. A 1939 graduate of New Rochelle High School, NY, she attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA where she graduated with a B.S. in dietetics. She completed an internship at Montefiore Hospital in New York and then began working as a dietician at Springfield Hospital. In 1947 she married William M. Watson and moved to West Springfield in 1954. Trudy worked for seven years as a dietician at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke before working in the library at Mass Mutual Insurance Co. until her retirement in 1986. A fifty year member of the First Congregational Church in West Springfield, Trudy was active in the Women�s Guild, as a Sunday School teacher and as a Deaconess. Trudy loved reading, nature, traveling and most of all her family. She was predeceased by her husband William, and her son William B. Watson. She is survived by her daughters and their families: Doris Early of West Springfield, her son Kase Jubboori and wife Kate, and two great-grandsons; her daughter Catherine Watson Koziol and her husband Dennis, their daughter Jacqueline of West Springfield; her daughter-in-law Elaine Watson of Belchertown, her children Kimberly and James Watson; her step-daughters, Annette Quatrano of East Longmeadow and Marjorie Conger of Flower Mound, TX, as well as six step-grandchildren and their families, whom she loved. The family is forever grateful for the loving care provided to Trudy by the staff at Heritage Hall West, D Wing, who treated her like family for nearly a year. Calling hours will be Saturday 2-4PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld. Burial will be private.
