Henry E. Toton Jr.

Henry “Hank” E. Toton, Jr. died peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Holyoke Hospital. Born in Springfield to the late Henry and Sophie (Ziakowski) Toton, he was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a mechanic for Western MA Electric Co. for many years and continued to work as a mechanic until age 80. He enjoyed camping with his family and spending time with his dog Sammy. Hank will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of nearly 57 years Loretta “Laurie” (Christiansen) Toton, their two devoted sons; Eric Toton and his wife Janice of Westfield and Marc Toton and his girlfriend Amy McGrath of West Springfield, grandson Cameron Hiltbrand of Westfield and many cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19th from 11AM to 1PM at Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield, concluding with a Funeral Home Service at 1:00PM. Committal with Military Honors will follow at 2:00PM in MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MA Veterans’ Home in Holyoke Activities Fund, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
