Huguette M. (Roy) Boutin, 84, passed away April 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint-Nicephore, Quebec Province, November 7, 1938, the daughter of the late Thomas and Adrienne Bisson Roy. She attended local schools in Canada and moved to the US in 1956. She worked as a retail manager for various companies for many years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Agawam Embroidery Guild. She was a foster parent for many children. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts for all her children and grandchildren, and won many awards for her embroidery, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed traveling (especially Europe), gardening and had a green thumb. She leaves her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert H. Boutin, her loving children, John Cox and his wife Carrie of Milford, CT, Laurie Goulet and her husband Mark of Springfield, Cynthia Rau and her husband Dave of Wilbraham, Daniel Boutin and his wife Carla of Wilbraham and Paul Boutin and his wife Dayana of Chandler, AZ, her siblings, Pauline Beauchemin, Evelyn Roy and Robert Roy, her 15 grandchildren and her 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Cox, and her sister, Claire Roy. A funeral home service will be held Tuesday April 11, 2023 at 11am from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
