Obituary
James P. Burns, 64 passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 1, 2020. James was a lifelong resident of West Springfield, Ma and was the son of Robert M. and Dolores C. Burns. Jim enjoyed classic cars, being with his family and was always willing to help a buddy out. James was an experienced truck driver with his CDL license for many years he drove and repaired trucks for G& S Industrial. After this James went to work for PTI in Enfield CT. James leaves behind his wife of 41 years Debra L (Oczkus) of West Springfield, his daughter Kelly Pignatare and husband Marc of Southampton, Ma and his son Anthony Burns and wife Christine of Westfield MA James also leaves behind his five grandchildren whom he cherished; Olivia, Addison, Giuliana, Weston and Tyler. James, aka Pop Pop, will be greatly missed and will leave behind memories of building forts, baking and playing with remote control cars. James leaves behind four siblings Robert Burns, Margaret Burns, John Burns and Kathleen Cecchettelli along with many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
