Obituary
James M. Chojnowski, 75, passed away Sat August 21, 2021. He was born December 5, 1945 to the late Matthew and Margaret Chojnowski. Jim worked as a firemen for the Town of West Springfield for over 25 years. He was proud of his vast toolset and had a passion for cars and was the owner of Sterling Motors in West Springfield. Jim also enjoyed traveling with his wife. In his spare time he enjoyed many war time documentaries. Animals held a special place in his heart. Every Fall, he looked forward to parking cars at the Big E. Although a modest and quiet man, his love for his family was unwavering. He leaves his loving wife of almost 50 years Joanne (Bigda) and his cherished son James M. Chojnowski and his fiancée Michaela McManus of Ashland, MA., his beloved best friend Jax, and his brother Michael Chojnowski and his wife Roseanne of Brimfield along with many extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held FRIDAY at 10 AM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, W. Spfld. A Calling Hour will be held FRIDAY from 9 to 10 AM.
