James G. Geren

West Springfield, James G. Geren, 77, passed away January 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, July 31, 1948, he was the son of the late James A. and Lorraine (Versiglioni) Geren. Jim was a 1966 graduate of West Springfield High School and a graduate of Worcester Polytech Institute and Western New England College. He was employed by Emhart Glass Corporation as the Global Director of Product Marketing.

He leaves his beloved sisters, Debra Bardwell and her husband Paul and Lori Grenier and her husband Paul all of West Springfield, his beloved nieces, Lurene and Danielle and his beloved grand nephew, Ethan and grandniece, Emily. A funeral home service will be held Friday January 9, 2026, at 11am from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. A calling hour will be Friday 10-11am.

The family would like to thank the entire team from Caring Solutions, LLC, especially his nurse Maria, for the exceptional care they provided.
