James �Jim� W. Moran, 84, of 50 Cardinal Lane passed away Monday at Heritage Hall in Agawam. He was born in Springfield on March 4th, 1932 to the late Donald and Helen (Bushway) Moran. He was raised in Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield Tech. He lived most of his life in Feeding Hills. He worked for 30 years as a linesman for New England Telephone. Jim also was a member of the Agawam Auxiliary Police Department for several years. Jim was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran. He was an AAU Boxing Champion during his time in the Navy. Jim was a member and Past Commander of the V.F.W. Post 9397 in Hampden and a member of the American Legion Post 185 in Agawam. Jim was an avid New England Patriots fan. He was predeceased by his wife Joan (Lovett) Moran and was formerly married to Patricia (Mogler) Moran. He was the loving father of Carol Steele and her husband Bob of Three Rivers, Michael Moran and his wife Laura, Kathy Suffriti and her husband Dennis, Teri Allevo and her husband Tim, and Mary Shuart and her husband Thor all of Feeding Hills, beloved grandfather of 9 and devoted great grandfather of 11. The calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. There will be a Funeral Home Service at 10 AM on Thursday followed by a Committal Service at 11 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
