James D. Rubin, 26, passed away Thursday. Born in Springfield, May 29, 1992, he was the son of Michael A. Rubin Sr. of Melbourne, FL and Cheryl (Smith) Rubin of West Springfield. Jim attended West Springfield High School and worked for Hallmark Cards in Enfield. Jim also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Boston sports fan. Besides his parents, he leaves his brother, Michael A. Rubin Jr. of Westfield, his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Roger Racine of Melbourne, FL, his niece, Myleigh and nephew Michael along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be Friday from 4pm-6:30pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with a service at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Thomas School, 47 Pine St., West Springfield, MA 01089.
