James Shaw

Agawam- James Allen Shaw, 64, passed away peacefully Saturday at home. He was born in Greenfield, MA on February 28th, 1953 to the late Walter and Anna (Slaght) Shaw. He worked as the General Manager of the Red Roof Inn in West Springfield since 1993. He was an avid traveler and he loved nature and hiking outdoors. He will be remembered by all those who knew him for his great sense of humor, kindness and generosity to others. He loved cooking and spending time with his family. He was the loving father of Kelly Holmes and her husband Robert of Russell, Brian Shaw and his fianc�, Yomaris Reyes of Manchester, CT., and Jeffrey Shaw and his wife Moira of Springfield. He was also the beloved grandfather of Brandon, Jonathan and William, Jayden and Anaya, and Ronan and Killian.�He was formerly married to Doreen A. (Haynes) Shaw of Westfield. There will be a Celebration of Life Service Saturday at 2 PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Burial will be private. Donations to be made in Lieu of flowers to a favorite state or national park of your choice to honor James� love of nature.
