James A Tibbetts, 80, passed away November 15, 2024, at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester. Born in Springfield, February 2, 1944, he was the son of the late Nathan and Muriel (Kane) Tibbetts. After graduating from Commerce High School, he lived in Florida and California then moved to Lyons, CO for over 35 years working as a carpenter for various companies. He then moved to North Grafton to be with his sister Kathryn Beaman and her husband James in 2015. He enjoyed daily walks and shopping. Like his father, he was an avid Red Sox fan, never missing a game on television. He was also a talented artist. He leaves his sisters, Rosemary Stanek and her husband Ted of West Springfield and Pamela Bourque of Brimfield and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Burt, Barbara Tibbetts, Beverly Bergeron, and Kathryn Beaman. Burial is private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
