Janet J. Trombley

Janet J. (Mongeau) Trombley, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Charles Mongeau, II and June (Fisher) Mongeau, she was a longtime West Springfield resident. Though she was born here, she spent much of her childhood living in Alaska. She returned to West Springfield and finished out her later high school years.
She was known by friends and family alike for her sense of humor and strong spirit. Janet was an avid Red Sox fan and major outdoor enthusiast. She greatly enjoyed wildlife viewing, fishing, and camping; and she shared that passion with her family. Her profession as a hairdresser made her the go-to woman for family, friends, and many customers to get a fresh haircut and enjoy her company. She will be deeply missed by anyone lucky enough to have known her.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband, William Trombley, her children; John Boulia, Joe Boulia and his wife Kelley, Jason Boulia and his wife Natalia, all of West Springfield; her grandchildren Joseph Boulia and his wife Talia of Feeding Hills, Cheyanna Boulia of West Springfield; Sofia, Lucas, and Victoria Boulia all of West Springfield, Ashley Boulia of Enfield, CT; and her great-granddaughter Gracee Boulia of Enfield, CT.
Family and friends may gather for Janet’s Funeral Service on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with a calling hour from 12-1:00 PM.
