Obituary
Janice A. (Reske) Manson, 83, a faithful servant of God, entered His Heavenly Kingdom and into the loving, merciful hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb 28, 2021. She was born in Springfield on Oct. 7, 1937 to the late Berthold and Jennie (Gumula) Reske. Janice graduated from Agawam High School. She worked for many years at Buxton Leather and also the Insurance Company of North America. For decades, Janice was a friend to many who were involved with animal rescue and rehabilitation in the greater Springfield area and many animals were rescued by her efforts. She and her late husband Carl were also supporters of the Springfield Rescue Mission. She is also predeceased by her dear friend, whom she cared for, Donald Provincial, as well as her beloved dog Lucky. Janice was a good and caring sister to her siblings whom she leaves behind; her sister Deborah Pyrik of North Carolina and her husband, Steve and her brother, Jon A. Reske and his wife Teresa. Janice also leaves behind her longtime friend, John Topper. All Services are private and at the convenience of the family. The TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE WITH THE ARRANGEMENTS.
