Jean A Paro

Jean Audrey Paro (Tucker) of Southwick, Massachusetts, departed peacefully at her home on September 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 87 after her battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on August 8, 1938 to her late parents, Frank Tucker and Jessie O’Rourke (Buchanan).

Jean shared 65 wonderful years married to her beloved husband, Ronald Paro and created a wonderful life for her family in West Springfield and in their second home in the Berkshires. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart and calm demeanor. She enjoyed traveling with Ron, knitting, doing puzzles and especially spending time with her family.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons Roger Paro and wife Laura of Manchester, CT and Alan Paro and wife Robin of Westfield, MA; 4 grandchildren Madison, Ashley, Alexander and Ryan; loving sisters-in-law June Caravaggi and Margaret Paro. She also leaves behind cherished memories with those who knew her as family, friend and neighbor.

Though we are saddened by her passing, we also celebrate the light she brought to this world and the stories that remain.

A visiting hour will be held on Thursday October 2nd from 10-11AM at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield. A funeral home service will immediately follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Baystate Hospice at 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01199 or Highland Valley Elder Services at 320 Riverside Drive Suite B, Florence, MA 01062.
