Obituary
Joan B. Harrington, 92, passed away Feb 5, 2022. She was born Dec. 7, 1929 to the late Phillip and Francias Arnold. Joan attended Agawam schools and graduated from Agawam High School. She worked for many years for the phone company and also as a nurse’s aide at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Joan enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and flowers. She also loved the Red Sox and Patriots, especially Tom Brady. Joan was predeceased by her husband Daniel Harrington and her son Timothy Harrington. She leaves her daughter Teresa “Terry” Ouellette of Feeding Hills, her grandchildren; Ryan, Phillip, Tara, Gina and Patrick, also her great granddaughter Sophia Marie and several nieces and nephews. Joan was also predeceased by her siblings, Henry, Edwin and Phillip Arnold and Agnes Churchill and Francias Ennis. A Memorial Service will be held April 11, 11:30 AM in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. There are NO Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Joan’s name to the charity of your choice. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
