Joann M. (Taskey) Bibeau, 79, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Springfield, June 13, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Wender) Taskey. Joann lived her entire life in West Springfield and worked for the Town of West Springfield and the Park and Recreation Dept for many years. She also worked at the former Buxton Wallet Company and was a former member of the West Springfield Women�s Club. On April 14, 1954 she married the love of her life, Roger R. Bibeau and spent the next 60 years together. Joann was faced with many adversities in her life but always overcame them. She leaves her beloved husband, Roger and her two loving sons, Steven J. and his wife Debbie of West Springfield and Jon Paul R. and his wife Maria of West Springfield. Her brother, John Taskey, Sr. of West Springfield and her 3 loving grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole and Ashley, her beloved great grandson, Jax, her aunt and uncle, Lynn and Chester Wender of Warren, NJ as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral home service will be held Monday at 10am from the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield followed by burial in the Mass. Veteran�s Cemetery in Agawam.
