West Springfield – John “Jack” Crocker passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 80 years old. Born in Springfield, November 30, 1943, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Sinclaire) Crocker. John was a graduate of West Springfield High School. John installed and repaired telecommunication systems for AT+T/Lucent. In retirement, John founded and operated Sibley Lawn Care. John was an active part of the West Springfield community for many years. He was a former president of the Tatham Memorial Club, the current president of Paucatuck Cemetery Association, and a member of the Verdi Club. He enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, going on cruises, watching car races, and spending time with family. John was predeceased by his first wife, Suzie (Barnes), his second wife Kathleen (Skypeck), and his son John Michael. He will be missed by his children Melissa Crocker of Westfield; Joe (Barb) Sawyer, Katy (Christopher) Miller, Mary (Mike) Patruski, Liz (John) Kearney and Janis (David) Zagula, all of West Springfield, and Christine (Kelly) Adcox of Georgia, his brother, Jim (Sandra) Crocker, sister Jan (Marty) Sullivan of West Springfield, and sister Judy (Stephen) White of Westfield. He leaves his grandchildren Lexi, Hannah, Damien, Jennifer, Alyssa, Caitlin, Libby, Megan, Alex, Emily, Keegan, Quinlan, Ainsley, and Grayson, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 4-7pm on September 9 at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME in West Springfield, with a Memorial Mass at noon on September 10 at St. Thomas Church.
