John R. Kelliher, Sr.

West Springfield- John Robert Kelliher Sr., 89, of Dorwin Drive passed away Friday at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Springfield on November 25th, 1927 to the late Margaret (Mullaney) and James Kelliher. He was raised in Springfield and was a graduate of High School of Commerce. John was the Marketing Manager at Hamilton Standard and retired after 37 yrs. in 1987. He was a U.S. Navy WW II Veteran. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. John coached youth baseball for years in the �60s and �70s. He was the beloved husband of 66 yrs. to Anna M. (Corcoran) Kelliher, loving father of Karen Barrows of West Spfld., John Kelliher Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Suffield, Michael Kelliher and his wife Susan of Hingham, and Eileen Gagliano and her husband Greg of Westboro, caring brother of James Kelliher of NJ. devoted grandfather of Katie Chipps, Traci Barrows, Erin Garrity, Theresa Young, Megan Barrows, John Kelliher, Gosi Kelliher, Jamie Gagliano, Daniela Kelliher, and Nikki Gagliano, and treasured great grandfather of Emma and Charlotte Chipps. The funeral will be 9 AM Tuesday at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
