Obituary
John A. Larese, 85, of Feeding Hills, died peacefully October 12th, after a long illness. He was born in West Springfield to the late Giovanni and Elisa (DaRin) Larese. He attended West Springfield schools then worked as a machinist. After retirement he worked as a groundskeeper at Crest View Country Club. John served in the US Army during the Korean War. John was predeceased by his wife, Emily (Chiaro) Larese and brother, Valentino O. Larese. John leaves behind his sister, Dolores (Larese) Gatti, several nieces and nephews and his good friend and companion Charlotte Brauer. He was a member of the West Springfield Fish and Game Club and Mawaga Sportsmen's Club. A graveside service will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
