John Meldonian

January 17, 1935 — June 13, 2024

John Meldonian, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Charlene Manor Extended Care in Greenfield, MA with his family by his side. Born in Springfield to the late Hachadoor and Haigohi Meldonian on January 17, 1935, he grew up in Springfield, lived in Manchester, NH and eventually West Springfield. John was a teller at Seabrook Racetrack in New Hampshire for many years. He worked for Syncor Pharmaceuticals in CT. and also managed a U-Haul Storage facility in Springfield, MA. John was a long-time member of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in Indian Orchard. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Edward Meldonian and his longtime companion, Barbara Record. He will be missed and remembered by his twin brother James Meldonian and his wife Suzanne; his niece Melissa and husband Keller Eaton; his niece Nicole Meldonian and husband Dave Stevenson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Abigail, Cadence and Oliver Eaton and Charles Stevenson. There will be calling hours Wednesday June 19th from 5-7 pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. A Private Graveside Service for the family will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
