John J. Rolandini, Sr. 91, passed away on Jan 3, 2023 at the Veterans Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Born in 1931 he lived most of his life in West Springfield, spending the last 5 years in Sun City, Arizona. He was a first generation immigrant from Italy. John worked for a number of years at the Southworth Paper Company before becoming employed and retiring from the Town of West Springfield Public Works Dept. He was a Korean War Veteran that was proud to serve his country and proud of his service. John loved hunting & fishing, spending time at his camp in Otis and being with his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Gladys and his mother Luigina Ella Theobald. He leaves behind 6 children, John Jr. of Southampton, Mark (Dorine) of Agawam, David (Deborah) of E. Fairfield, Vermont, Debra (Barry) Irish of Windham, ME, Linda (Bruce) Aldo of Sun City, AZ & Karen (Bob) Whitfield of Northwood, NH., he also leaves behind his brother George (Chub) Rolandini of Florida, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be calling hours this Friday (7/14) from 12-2 pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 2 pm. There will be a 3 PM Committal Service at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. For more information please visit
