Joseph Edmund Adams, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18th. He was born in Springfield on December 2, 1932 to Homer and Antonia (Pellitier) Adams. Joseph worked for many years as a tool maker at Hamilton Standard before retiring in 1993. He loved the water, sailing and fishing, and enjoyed woodworking and made several keepsakes (clocks, toys, and jewelry boxes) that will be cherished for generations. He was an enthusiastic fan of any sports that his grandchildren were involved in. Joseph was predeceased by his brothers Homer and Louis Adams. He was a loving husband to his wife, Barbara (Mailloux) Adams of W. Springfield; father to his sons Louis Joseph “Joe” (Donna) Adams of Monson and Kevin (Fernando Goncalves) Adams of Boston, and daughter Kathy (Chuck) Pappas of West Springfield; brother to sisters Theresa Duclos and Jacqueline Kibbe, both of Belchertown; devoted grandfather to Nick Pappas, and Pepere’s Angels: Alyssa (Nick) Bustamante, Ashley (Doug) Sauve and Julie (Jeff) Crofts and loving great-grandfather to Emilia, Isla, Leif, Petra, and Rhea. Services will be private and were entrusted to TOOMEY-O’BRIEN Funeral Home, West Springfield.
