Joseph R Macchi

Joseph R. Macchi, 60, passed away suddenly, October 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 25, 1963, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Ann Matoon Macchi. Joe worked for the US Postal Service at the Bulk Mailing Center in Springfield for over 37 years. He was a graduate of Taconic High School in Pittsfield, and the Porter and Chester Institute in CT. Joe was always fixing things for other people. He loved spending time with his family at his camp in Otis, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was a volunteer at the Lions Den at the Big E. He leaves his beloved wife, Victoria (Kalill) Macchi, his loving daughter, Luna, his loving siblings, Susan Guinan-Smith of Lee, Robert Macchi of Pittsfield and Thomas Macchi of Lee, his beloved nieces and nephews, Patrick, Emily, Kellin, Maeve, Margaret, Annie, Molly, Ella and Elliot. He also leaves his beloved dog, Elliot. A funeral home service will be Sunday October 8, 2023, at 4pm from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with calling hours Sunday from 1-4pm. Burial will be private.
