Joyce M. (Morse) Welker

West Springfield- Joyce M. Welker,83, passed away suddenly on August 26, 2016. She was born in Westfield to the late Irma (Brown) and Roy C. Morse. Joyce graduated in 1950 from West Springfield High School and continued studies at Holyoke Community College and Westfield State College. She worked several years at the West Springfield Nursing Home and many years as a salesperson for Landry, Lyons and White Realtors. Joyce leaves her loving husband of nearly 64 years, Edward Welker, her children, Rev. Lee Welker and his wife Dr. Linda of Grand Rapids, MI, Kurt Welker and his wife Paula of Westfield, Rick Welker and his wife Susan of Plymouth and Jerelyn Welker of Agawam. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sherrie Lavallee of Palm Beach Gardens, FL on March 2, 2016. Joyce also leaves twelve loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be 4-7PM, Friday at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld. There will be a memorial service Saturday, 11AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1552 Westfield Street, W. Spfld., followed by burial in Paucatuck Cemetery.
