Obituary
Julie M. (Nallett) Chapman, 90, passed away Wednesday at Bear Mountain Nursing Home in West Springfield after going through the long goodbye of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Claremont, NH on December 5, 1929 to the late Cyril and Marie-Louise (LaLiberte) Nallett. She spent her earlier years in Chicopee Falls and has lived in West Springfield since 1949. She was the credit manager for years at Allen Lawn Mower formerly of Agawam. Before that she was the office manager/accountant for S & S Distributors, Big Y and A & P. She was a member of N.E. Association of Credit Executives and was a Mass. Notary Public. Before that she was the owner of the former Four Seasons Restaurant (presently Memo’s) of West Springfield. Julie was a 1947 graduate of Cathedral High School and later graduated from the Business School of Springfield. She was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas Church. She was the beloved widow of the late Kenneth Chapman, loving mother of the late Kenneth (KC) Chapman and his late wife Susan, Kevin Chapman of West Springfield, David Chapman and his wife Catherine of Agawam and Thomas Chapman and his wife Christine of Feeding Hills Agawam, caring grandmother of Craig Chapman and his wife Kristy, Kenneth Chapman and his wife Alicia, Kelly Rien and her husband Doug, Thomas Jr. and Jeffrey Chapman, and her bonus Granddaughters Karen, Joanne, Kayla, and Alyssa. She was great grandmother of D.J. and Alison Chapman, Aubrey Chapman, and Samantha, Savvy and Dillon Rien. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by loving companion Raymond Heaton. Julie’s family would also like to thank all the staff of Bear Mountain for the kind care they provided to Julie over the last few years. Because of the Covid Crisis all services will be scheduled at a later date. Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
