Karen L. (Larson) Bognar, 79, passed away Monday May 17, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Waltham, August 26, 1941, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Connor) Larson. Karen was a graduate of the former Chandler School for Women in Boston and worked for the United Carr Company in Newton for many years. She worked with special needs children at the Fernald State School in Waltham. She loved gardening and bird watching. She leaves her beloved husband of 53 years, Bela Bognar, her beloved sons, Scott of Farmington, CT and Neil of Warren, MA, her loving grandsons, Stephen and Dylan. All services are private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private in the Newton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA. 02472.
